ENNU NINTE MOIDEEN REVIEW
ENNU NINTE MOIDEEN the romantic biographical film which try
to depict the real life events that happened from 60s to 80s in the life of
Moideen and Kanjana. It is difficult to convert a real life event to cinematic
form honestly and precisely and without compromising the commercial aspect of
the film industry. The director - R S Vimal,
has done it through ENNU NINTE MOIDEEN . The success of the film maker is
that he took a cliché subject which is
the love affair between a Muslim boy Moideen and a Hindu girl kanjana and presented it in a visually appealing way. The film
shows a period in which letters are the only possible medium to
communicate and how the love of Moideen
and Kanjana had survived facing a lot of social and family problems.
The
romantic beauty of rain which is used so often in Malayalam films including
classic Thoovanathumbikal has been used in an impressive way in this movie.
Illavazanji puzha which is a major character in the story is visualized
beautifully , thanks to the cinematography of Jomon T John and background
scores of Gopi Sunder , But the film didn’t use the magic of silence in certain
situations .
The casting in the film was spot on .
The cast including Prithviraj, Parvathy, Sai Kumar, Tovino etc has done a
decent job . Parvathy who essays the character Kanajana needs a special
mention. She behaves through the life of Kanjana in a realistic way and without making it over
dramatic. Prithviraj has also done his part well but his wig and make up looks
artificial some times.
The
present day in which majority of people give importance to love which consider
flesh and money as major factor this film shows unconditional love between two
people which is unbreakable. The applause that arises in theater when Moideen
says her soul is more beautiful than her face is a pleasant site.
The
message that is conveyed through letters , car horn and head lights between the
two lovers is a new site for present day generation . It is this curiosity that
might have took the film to this much success commercially.
